Fabulous Cruise
Excellent trip with fantastic commentary from Dylan. Hidden gems eg swimming opportunity and afternoon picnic in hidden spot. The Ord River is amazing from tropical landscape to mountainous gorges. A must do in Kununurra.Fantastic Afternoon on Lake Kunnunara
What a fantastic way to spend an afternoon! From the moment Jeff picked us up from our hotel until he dropped us back in the evening, the day was a magical experience. The cruise departed from Kununurra and went all the way to the Ord River Dam wall. Along the way Jeff pointed out the many features of the area from landscape to the wildlife. His knowledge of the area was amazing and his commentary was really informative including naming the many bird species the live around the Lake, showing the crocodile breeding areas, and knowing where to have the best sightings of the many freshwater crocodiles that inhabit the lake. On arriving at the dam wall, he spoke about the history and the construction of the dam. On the trip back to Kununurra, Jeff took us through some narrow creeks, pointing out the many different aspects between the creeks and the main river. On the way we back we stopped and disembarked, to enjoy an afternoon tea with pumpkin scones, cake and fresh fruit. Throughout theA must for any visitor
The one thing I wanted to do on this visit to Kununurra was a boat trip the length of the river from the dam to the town. This trip - up and back - lived up to all my expectations. The country offers stunning contrasts in the geography and vegetation and there is an amazing array of wildlife, from birds and bats to rock wallabies and crocodiles. Full praise to boat skipper, Grant, for his great commentary and incredible ability to spot so many animals. Most of our tour also enjoyed their swim in the Ord River. And, afternoon tea was a treat onshore.
