Easy, Flat Walk
It was blowing a gale, but that didn’t deter us from walking along the longest pile-driven timber jetty in the Southern Hemisphere! It’s an easy, flat walk, with lots of information along the way.Beautiful spot to enjoy a spectacular sunrise or sunset.
Train to the end is handy but the walk is just as enjoyable. Great fishing spot and the tourist shop is very well run, stocked and the staff are friendly and informative.Best Foreshore in the South West
Great location and a great walk to the end and back. Tend to go after business hours so it's free. Fishing can be hit and miss. A few nights not even a bite. Other nights have done well with herring and squid. Well lit at night time and local fisher people are friendly for the most part. ☺. During the day the structure makes a great back drop for photos. There is a fee to walk or take the train at these times. Local eateries are close . The goose have very good food and local brews on tap. Wasn't taken with the menu at equinox at this stage so can't really comment on the food there. Although it does have a nice Beer garden overlooking the sea under a huge shady tree☺. Best foreshore in the south west ?
