Description

The lakes are situated within the park and a resident ranger lives lakeside. The walking trails are well sign-posted, and barbecues and toilet facilities have been provided in the idyllic surroundings amidst wonderful old tuart trees. Tranquil beautiful lake Clifton with unique thrombolites
Lake Clifton with 2000 years old thrombolites it’s about 30min outside of Mandurah ad these look like rocks are ancient forms of microbial communities that produce energy from sun ??❤️ they can be found only in few places in WA and the world ??❤️?? beautiful nature and nature trails around the lake and area picnic tables and plenty parking available with public toilets. For wine lovers there is a winery and brewery right next door so trip well worth either way. We loved it

Good for walk and to see ancient plants!
This park is not well signed but worth a trip to see the lake and what are perhaps the oldest plants known. Its also a good walk by the lake.

Lots of things to see
Lots of walks and very old thrombolites exit here and so much wild life in the lakes and interesting spiders etc makes it even more interesting :)
