The Boardwalk Theatre
The Majestic Boardwalk Theatre has a seating capacity of 800, housing 550 people in the stalls and 250 in the magnificent dress circle. The seating varies accordingly with the option of using the 30-musician orchestra pit. The Theatre has played host to a variety of Australian artists including Tommy Emmanuel, Slim Dusty, Jon English, John Williamson, Wendy Matthews and the West Australian Symphony Orchestra to name a few. Many local productions and pantomimes have also been performed such as Cinderella, West Side Story, Cabaret, Peter Pan, Oklahoma, Aladdin, The Mikado, Annie and Jesus Christ Superstar. A unique backdrop made of flywire is a feature of the auditorium and was designed by artist and set designer Tish Oldham. It is a breathtaking view from the scarp through trees to the estuary and the ocean.
The Fishtrap Theatre
This Theatre is unique in that it isn't necessarily for performances only; it has been designed to suit any occasion such as seminars, club functions, displays and receptions. Since the official opening, the Fishtrap Theatre has accommodated modelling and dance classes, product launches and meetings, expo's, conferences and seminars as well as smaller productions. The theatre is a blackbox studio space, which contains raked retractable seating with a capacity of 144 people.
Dance Studio
The Dance Studio has a fully sprung, tarquette floor and is hired out to ballet, jazz and callisthenics schools. It has also been a perfect warm-up room for companies such as the Western Australian Ballet Company. In the Centre's inaugural year, the Dance Studio also accommodated a world-class ballet summer school with world renowned dance instructors Benazir Hussein and Errol Pickford.
Mandurah Art Gallery
The inclusion of the Mandurah Art Gallery within the Centre adds an extra dimension to the cultural development of the Peel Region. There are always varied and exciting exhibitions on display. The Art Gallery has exhibited art works from local artists, schools, senior citizens and many other touring exhibitions. It is also a magnificent venue for corporate functions and makes use of the fully serviced bar and spectacular evening views of Mandjar Bay.
Serpentine Room
The Performing Arts Centre has a music room historically named the Serpentine Room. Recently refurbished and boosting a stunning boardroom table (developed by the School Of Fine Wood, Dwellingup), the Serpentine Room is a perfect space for meetings, seminars and training sessions.
