Description
The Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk is an internationally recognised nature-based tourism attraction, located in Australia’s South West, giving you a bird’s eye view of some of the biggest timber giants on Earth – Western Australia’s majestic tingle trees. Climbing 40 metres into the forest canopy and meandering through the treetops for 600 metres, the walk trail is the first of its kind, designed to maximise views and minimise impact.
This peaceful and exhilarating experience can be encountered 15 minutes east of Walpole, on Western Australia’s South coast. It takes approximately four and half hours to drive there from Perth and also features on many extended coach tour itineraries.
The Tree Top Walk sits within the Walpole-Nornalup National Park and Walpole Wilderness, offering spectacular views over densely forested hills. Descending to the boardwalks below to explore the Ancient Empire Walk, you’ll enter a grove of towering veteran tingle trees. These giant eucalypts are found nowhere else in Australia, or on Earth as a matter of fact, and some have been standing for more than 400 years.
Be sure to add this multi-award winning attraction to your holiday wish list and take a moment to sit and reflect on the special nature of the tingle forest.

Excellent!
Excellent! A 600m walk through the tops of red tingle trees, taking you 40m above the ground. If you enjoyed it the first time, there's the option of going round again. The suspension-bridge walkway is quite a feat of engineering. It wobbles when you walk on it but it still felt safe and secure. A very enjoyable experience.Memorable Experience
This was a memorable experience, there are two walks one at ground level which is FREE, the other is at tree top level (a small cover charge) this walk is not for the faint hearted or people afraid of heights, this walk rises to 40 metres above ground level. The walkway gentle moves in the wind, but feel very secure between the rails.Once up amongst the trees the views are spectacular, the crown of the trees still tower another 30 metres above you head.
Take a moment and think some of the trees have been growing fire 5 Hundred years, takes your breath away especially when you put it into contrast with what has happened in the world over those years.
Visit you won't be disappointed.
Must Do
A must do activity if you are down in the Denmark / Walpole area. You get spect views of the giant trees as you walk through the treetops. This as a well as the free entertaining and informative guided tour (3 times a day) of some of the giant tingle trees is a bargain.
