Turquoise Safaris & Sea Lion Charters are operated by a local Jurien Bay family with the knowledge to ensure you experience the best the area has to offer.
Your local guide Kane is a long term resident of Jurien Bay and spent most of his life in the town. He knows all the special spots throughout the area that make Jurien Bay such a great place to live and visit.
At Turquoise Safaris & Sea Lion Charters we pride ourselves on providing a unique experience that caters for all ages.
Join us aboard Sound Waves or Mojo and let us show you some of the Turquoise Coast's best kept secrets.
Take a trip over to Essex Rocks to meet the ‘puppies of the sea’ and jump in for an optional in-water interaction.
Tours run daily depending on weather conditions and leave from the Jurien Bay Boat Harbour off Harbour Drive.
For Fishing Charters:
Join Platinum Plus Charters on a Full Day Fishing Charter for your chance to catch the fish of a lifetime! Let our crew put you onto some of WA's most exquisite and sought-after seafood.
All high quality rods and reels, bait and terminal tackle is supplied. You are welcome to bring along your own fishing gear, please let us know beforehand so we can organise space on deck.
Price for a full day fishing charter is $300 per person. The minimum number of people required is 6, the maximum is 10.
We supply lunch as well as cool drinks and water. Sunscreen will also be available on board.
You will take home your fair share of the day’s catch and there is also a chance of fresh crayfish out of our pots which can be pulled as on optional add on to your Fishing Charter.
Departure time is between 5 am and 6 am. We aim to be back by 2 pm.
Please be advised that start times of Fishing Charters vary and are subject to change. We will contact you a day ahead to confirm exact time of departure.
If you are concerned about motion sickness, we recommend not to consume any milk or dairy products prior to departure. Additionally, you could seek advice on taking motion sickness medication.

Turquoise Safaris & Sea Lion Charters reserve the right to alter or cancel tours at any time.
Safety is our utmost concern but your responsibility.
A medium level of fitness is required.
Any tours cancelled by us due to unforeseen circumstances will either be rescheduled or fully refunded.
A Cancellation Fee of 50% of the full price applies to all Sea Lion Tour cancellations received less than 48 hours before departure of the trip.
No Refund in case of no show.

For Fishing Charters:
Platinum Plus Charters reserves the right to alter or cancel tours at any time.
Safety is our utmost concern but your responsibility.

When booking please inform us of any injuries or medical conditions.
Any Charters cancelled by us due to unforeseen circumstances will either be rescheduled or fully refunded.

Directions
From the Turquoise Coast Visitor Centre follow the Indian Ocean Drive up north for about 2.6 kms, then turn left onto Seaward Drive. Follow that for about 900 m, then turn right onto Harbour Drive. Behind the Boat Ramps you'll find public parking spaces and a toilet/hot shower block. Sound Waves / Mojo / Platinum will be parked up at the floating pontoon behind the information bay.

Best thing we did
100% the best thing we did on an incredible trip down the west coast. Kane was a great tour guide and there were only three of us on the tour. The sea lions were so playful and friendly. Even though we did it in winter the water didn’t feel too cold -we were actually swimming in the water for over an hour with the sea lions and didn’t even notice the cold because of how great the experience was. It’s in a shallow bay/reef area where you can always see the bottom/stand up pretty much the whole time so it’s not as though you’re swimming in deep water either.Fantastic experience
The Sea Lion Tour was a fantastic experience. Kane goes out of his way to make customers happy. He is very knowledgeable, a skilled captain and very friendly. If you are thinking of going to Jurien, make sure you seek out Turquoise Safaris. Kane will certainly look after you.Awesome Trip
There was only our family of 5 on the trip. We snorkelled at the underwater pinnacles first which were amazing. Then we swam with the sea lions. We had heaps of them swimming around and playing with us. An amazing experience. Kane pulled up his shelter pots on the way back and the kids got to hold an octopus. Kane was great with the kids. We had a great afternoon.
