This was an amazing place to stay in such a tiny town. I was totally impressed by everything in my room. Clean, tidy, up-to-date - just perfect! We had breakfast here, but dined at a nearby tavern. I definitely recommend this Resort.Best in ages
The Point Samson Resort is cleverly designed so you actually feel like you’re the only person here. My room was out the back and I didn’t have people walking dragging suitcases past my door, which made it lovely and quiet. The room was incredibly clean and modern, with fancy light switches, plumbing fittings and a huge TV.
The room was also semi self contained with microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster, and a full range of utensils.
A huge comfy bed kept calling me over into perfectly clean white sheets and comfy pillows. Such a perfect change from most accomodation up this way.
The resort has a kitchen/cafe which appears to be open from breakfast till 5pm, but not dinner. This may be seasonal I’m not sure.
A nice pool sits in the side of the property. I will say that it’s a bit smaller than it looks in the promotional material, but it’s still nice.
My one and only problem was the air conditioning compressor unit must be right on the wall outside the bed head. It’s humming drove me mad

Despite living within driving distance yet too far for a cab we booked into PSR as somewhere to crash after a big party we had been invited to nearby. We had stayed here once before about 20 years ago expected to find the standard motel type of room.We were late checking in so our key was left for us in an agreed spot by a ‘nothing is too much trouble ‘ receptionist and she informed us that she would be just a phone call away should we need anything. As soon as we opened the door we saw how wrong we were about the type of accommodation we had pictured. Our room was immaculate. The bed was 1st class comfort. The shower room and toilet were spotless and the towels big and fluffy. The lighting was spot on, a feature often missed by the large chains who don’t give it much thought and put fluorescent lights in bathrooms. If I were to criticise anything it would be that the bar fridge held only a tiny carton of milk where we expected water. The bed, as large and comfortable as it was, slid
