40 minutes from Perth, 1 hour from airport, Rockingham is a popular tourist destination with beautiful safe beaches, water sports and parks. You are ideally located to visit local attractions like the Penguin colony on Penguin Island. Seals basking on the beach in the Shoalwater Marine Park, Point Peron Reserve walk, and Swim with the Dolphins Boat Tours. Go windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, crabbing, fishing or swimming. With the boat ramps and protected waters of Mangles Bay at your door step there are plenty of opportunities for a perfect getaway or family holiday .Other attractions with in short driving distance are wineries, wild life parks, golf course, surf breaks, fitness facilities and large shopping centres.
Within walking distance to most amenities, there is a Chemist and IGA, open 7days from 7am-9pm.
Here you will find cafes, restaurants, wine bars and many take away choices. You can catch the local transit bus and it will take you to Rockingham City Shopping Centre or to the new train station where you can ride the train to Perth in 40 minutes.
From Rockingham Visitor Centre in Kent Street turn right at lights into Railway Tce and left into Harrison Street. Go down about 200meters past May Street, you will see 64A Harrison Street on Right hand side.
Rockingham Visitor Centre opening hours are- Monday-Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 9.00am to 4.00pm. Closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
