Far Out Adventures are an independent owner /operator business that tailor tours to individual needs.

With four-wheel drives, helicopters and boats used, you’ll visit the more unique and remote locations of this truly remarkable territory.

Whether your interest lies with capturing nature’s wildlife or dramatic scenery, learning about Aboriginal art and culture, or taking part in a photographic journey, Far Out Adventures will provide a bespoke itinerary to suit your requirements.

FAR OUT ADVENTURES have been operating a safari/ guide business in the Kimberley and Kakadu regions of Australia continuously since 1994.

Tours around the Kununurra region can range from half day sightseeing of local highlights – to extended tours deeper into the Kimberley, or even across into the Northern Territory and Kakadu regions.

All tours are tailormade to suit you – and can include a private wildlife cruise, night time croc spotting, evening star gazing, a sunset location with champagne and nibbles , rock art and occupation sites with a local Aboriginal guide, helicopter sightseeing , palm fringed safe swimming locations , Kununurra local attractions and more…

Your guide, Mike Keighley, has nearly 3 decades experience in operating and designing bespoke small group tours for discerning travellers.

He has guided in the Kimberley on cruise ships, helicopters, boats, 4WD’s and walking tours – and will be happy to work with you personally on your itinerary.

Transport includes a custom 4WD equipped with sat phone, GPS and on-board refrigeration for off road locations, a dual airconditioned luxury people mover for airport transfers and short trips around Kununurra , helicopters and fixed wing aircraft for ‘out of the way’ places, and on the water – a purpose built boat designed for wildlife viewing.

FAR OUT ADVENTURES have been awarded multiple Tourism awards including being inducted into the Hall of Fame of Eco Tourism Australia and awarded as Indigenous Tourism Champions.

Head guide - and owner Mike Keighley, is a Senior Savannah Guide and has won Eco Guide of the Year for Australia 3 times.

Far Out Adventures are offering a new transfer service, a Lake Argyle Mini Bus. The mini bus can hold up to 7 passengers and has a luggage trailer included. Hire of the mini bus is $250 for a one way transfer, for one person or up to 7 people.
