Amazing Stay
stayed here with my husband, my two year-old son and my in-laws. The house was SO GREAT for a toddler --- so many things to capture their attention inside the house (toys, books and a cubby house and sandpit on the deck) and even more things to explore outside the house. My son spent hours collecting gum nuts along the river's path and throwing them into the river. He also was given the opportunity to feed the neighbour's chooks with our food scraps, which was the best experience for him.The property was beautiful and peaceful. It is in proximity of the Porongorups, Two Peoples Bay and other amazing natural settings. The house is spacious and allowed for the five of us to co-exist without feeling like we were on top of each other. The wood fire was so great to have at night, and the lack of Internet was actually quite a nice thing. You can walk up the driveway a hundred metres to get service if desperate. It was nice to disconnect!

Perfect Stay
We really enjoyed our stay at Settlers Cottage. It is located in a quiet and remote area surrounded by the sounds of nature. The cottage has all the amenities you need to make your stay comfortable. There are plenty of things to do and see around the general Albany area along with some great beaches including Nanarup, which is only 10mins drive from the cottage. We look forward to coming back in the future.Great for Children
This is the perfect spot for relaxation as well as having plenty to do for families. Being able to walk down to the river was wonderful for kayaking and fishing. The kids loved the cubby and play equipment at the front, as well as having huge amounts of grass to run about on. Highly recommend to anyone looking to switch off and enjoy the beautiful surrounding nature.
