Our Gourmet Hunter Valley Wine Tour provides a quality wine and food tasting experience, focusing on the best the Hunter Valley has to offer. As a part of our wine tour you will enjoy unique wine tasting opportunities in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Travel in our modern tour vehicle featuring lap/sash seat belts, dual air conditioning, tinted windows, fridge, head rests and comfortable seating. Carrying a maximum of 11 passengers, you’ll get to experience places larger groups don’t.
Sit back, relax and enjoy the scenic journey through the Hunter Valley wine country. Passing famous vineyards and points of interest, our informative commentary covers some fascinating Hunter Valley history, and explains unique wine styles and wine tasting techniques, to ensure you get the most out of your day.
Sample Wine Tour
10:00am: Pick up from Pokolbin or the surrounding area.
10:15am: Wine tasting at Mount View Estate – Great wines made from estate grown old vines. One of the most scenic cellar doors in the Hunter Valley.
11:00am: ‘Behind the scenes’ winery tour – Learn the basics of wine production from grape to bottle.
11:30am: Wine tasting at Ernest Hill – Lovely people and lovely wines that include a very popular sparkling dessert wine.
12:30pm: Lunch at Emerson’s Restaurant – Quality lunch at this ‘One Hatted’ restaurant with a glass of Hunter Valley wine included. Breads and dips to begin followed by your choice of 8 main meals options.
2:00pm: Hunter Valley Chocolate Co. – Visit the chocolate shop next to Peterson House and sample fudge, chocolate coffee beans, chilli chocolate and more.
2:30pm: Wine tasting at Tulloch Wines – Try many ‘cellar door only’ wines from a producer whose history in the Hunter Valley stretches back to the 1800’s.
3:30pm: Two Fat Blokes Gourmet Kitchen – Taste both local and international chesses and a whole lot more. Food lovers paradise with lots of interesting products from around world.
4:00pm: Wine tasting at Gundog Estate – Named ‘Best Small Cellar Door’ in the Lower Hunter by Gourmet Traveller. Try their great wines and then wonder through the ‘gourmet pantry’.
5:00pm: Time for a siesta – return home.
