By Air – Your Plane or Charter Flight A light aircraft can be arranged to transfer passengers direct from Monkey Mia Airport to Dirk Hartog Island airstrip. Flight time is approximately 15 minutes. The aircraft can seat up to 6 passengers with limited luggage.

By Boat - Return boat transfers from Denham to Dirk Hartog Island are arranged upon booking. Travel time is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

By Island Barge - A landing barge is available to transfer 4WD vehicles from Steep Point to Dirk Hartog Island. The landing barge carries one vehicle and a trailer at a time and takes approximately 15 minutes to cross the waters of South Passage. The barge operates ‘on demand’ bookings are essential.

Directions: Coming into Denham, drive down the hill towards the sea and you will come to a roundabout at the intersection of Knight Terrace and Denham Hamelin Rd. Turn right into Knight Terrace, drive about 200 metres and turn right into Durlacher Street. About 40 metres on your right hand side you will find Wildsights Villas.

We have a tour's booking office at Monkey Mia. Our office can be found in the Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort at the far left hand of the beach front boardwalk when you are facing the beach. Take the Monkey Mia road from Denham to Monkey Mia to get to the resort, approximately 25kms away.

****HOW TO GET TO US ****

When travelling from either north or south the turnoff to shark bay is at the overlander road house. When arriving into town, as you are approaching the town turn right onto Hughes Sreet , follow this along until you reach the police station. At the police station turn right onto Durlacher street . follow this street up Until you get to Spaven Way which is on the right. Turn down Spaven Way and we are just after the corner.

Travelling north from Geraldton along the West Coast Highway, turn left at the Overlander Roadhouse and travel 130 kms west to Denham.
Blue Dolphin is the first park you see as you drive on the main road into Denham, just before you reach the foreshore.

From the NWC highway, the road that leads to Denham (Denham road) from the Overlander roadhouse, at the end of Denham Road is a roundabout, and Knight Terrace turn right here and take the first street on the right, (Durlacher Street) our home is on the right hand side at the top of the hill, there is a sign for Shark Bay Views B & B. You have arrived!!

Hamelin Pool Caravan Park, Shark Bay

Coming from Canarvon and Geraldton you turn on to the (Denham /Shark Bay Road) On World Heritage Drive 25 Kms from the Overlander Roadhouse along the Denham/Shark Bay Raod, to reach Hamelin Pool Road the only sealed road on your right you then travel 5 Km to the end without turning off it and you will arrive at the front entrance, you drive through a tree lined entrance to the grassed area and the office is in front of the pool in the old Historic Post Office.
From Denham:100 Km from Denham
