Description
The Shark Bay Hotel was built in 1967 making it a favourite amongst the locals who have fondly labelled it as “The Old Pub”.
In September 2011, Shane and Kerry Jones (long time visitors to Denham) purchased this iconic hotel with the aim to give the pub back to the community by bringing a combination of vision and commitment to make vast improvements to the hotel in all areas specialising in customer service.
The hotel is surrounded by friendly, helpful staff and very loyal patrons who always have a story or two to share, entertaining people from all walks of life. Attractively situated right by the foreshore of Shark Bay you couldn’t find a more pleasant place to simply relax, enjoy a nice cold drink, a snack or one of the many highly praised meals on our menu. The Shark Bay Hotel is a local institution so make sure you pay us a visit when you reach Denham, Western Australia.

Basic but clean room in a great location
Stayed for four nights at the motel. Room was small but clean and had a good en-suite. Great location in centre of town. Ate in restaurant twice and food was good value for money with good size portions. Bar staff were very friendly and courteous and had a great time chatting to locals over a few cold beers. It was an ideal base to explore Shark Bay and all its attractions. If you are looking for the Ritz then this is not for you. If you want basic affordable accommodation in a great location then you have come to the right place.Small and friendly
Friends and I stay here for 2 nights sharing twin rooms.The rooms were very clean and comfortable.There was a kitchen area where guest could help themselves to cereal,toast,yo ghurt and fruit.We were allowed to use the laundry area free of charge.Attached to the hotel is a bar which served very good food.The staff and owners were very friendly and helpful.The hotel is situated across the road from the beach.Excellent place for a stop over to explore this area!Affordable,good location and very clean!
This hotel is small but its location in the middle of town is great. Walking distance to restaurants etc. The price is excellent and the rooms are spotlessly clean. It is constructed out of unique bricks made from the shells from shell beach.
